SOAK Connemara Seaweed Baths changed ownership and location in 2021.
They are no longer located at the Leenane Hotel, their new location is in Clifden town.
Whoever has a voucher for Baths please email info@leenanehotel.com and we can transfer the voucher into a general voucher for the Hotel, Bar and Restaurant. Vouchers will not be accepted in the new location in Clifden.
Connemara Seaweed Baths are the only salt water seaweed baths in the West of Ireland. (Galway Mayo & Roscommon) and are situated beside Leenane Hotel. They have opened in 2010.
Our seaweed is hand cut daily and is fresh with essential nutrients and minerals. Bathing in Salt Water (Thalassotherapy) is essential for the release of minerals and nutrients found in seaweed and is Ireland’s oldest spa treatment. As well as relaxing tired and aching muscles, saltwater seaweed baths provide a natural cure for skin ailments from psoriasis to eczema and also help relieve associated pain of arthritis and rheumatism.
Many bathers find the baths have a soporific effect and help to guarantee a great night’s sleep. We have six single baths overlooking Killary Harbour and two twin rooms at the rear. Soft music and candlelight set the mood for total relaxation
Popular with walkers after long hikes and climbs, the baths provide a serene holistic treatment, soaking in baths full of seaweed – the oldest family of plants on the planet.
This year, due to popular demand we have added massage therapy and beauty suite.
